Albury Wodonga International Horse Trials took place from 25-27 October, with large classes competing across the FEI levels.
Current Adelaide CCI5*L champions David Middleton and WEC In The Money claimed the Albury IVF CCI4*S, rising from 18th after the dressage following a near-perfect show jumping performance and a clear and under-time cross country round. They were the only pair to go under time on a technical course designed by Ewan Kellett, and added just the one rail to their dressage score of 38.4 to finish the event on 42.4.
Second place went to Shane Rose and Matrixx on 44.3, with Teegan Ashby and off-the-track Thoroughbred Magic Mushroom TAE in third on 49.7.
The Blacklocks Isuzu CCI3*S went to Sophia Hill and Tulara Baltango on their dressage score of 32.7. It was a victorious return to Australian competitions for Sophia, who only recently arrived back in the country following a successful stint in Europe with Thoroughbreds Humble Glory and Seattle Park. While Sophia was abroad, Tulara Baltango was successfully campaigned by Sam Jeffree.
Second in the CCI3*S went to Christine Bates and Bloomfield Findon (35.9), while Shane Rose and Holy Moses were third (37.7).
The CCI2*S was won by Lamoza Velisha and Call Me Cooley, who finished on their dressage score of 29.4. Shane Rose filled the podium with Diva Royale (30.9) and Time To Cooley (34.2).
