Frida Lindgren and Wondaree Colleen claim Boneo Park Grand Prix

Boneo Park’s February Jumping Championships (20-22 February) saw show jumping action return once again to the Mornington Peninsula, with Frida Lindgren and Wondaree Colleen taking out Sunday’s Grand Prix.

The 2026 February Jumping Championships offered everything from Children’s, Junior, Young Rider and Amateur Championships, through to Future Stars, Mini Prix and Grand Prix classes, and a wide range of height classes.

On Sunday afternoon, the headline Grand Prix class saw a quality field of eight combinations go head-to-head. Across two rounds of competition, two riders were faultless: Frida Lindgren and Phil Lever.

Lindgren produced the quickest round aboard Wondaree Colleen to clinch the win in 43.16 seconds, with her partner Phil Lever settling for second on Billionaire NZPH (44.48). Lindgren’s second ride, Sovereigns Forever, placed third (49.37).

Based not far from Boneo Park at Treehaven Equestrian in Somerville, Lindgren and Lever run Lever Equestrian where they train show jumping horses and coach riders.

Two Championship wins for Joel Lamb

Joel Lamb has a successful event, claiming both the Junior and Young Rider Championships.

In the Young Rider Championship, Lamb and KG Queenie (0/0, 44.40) produced the only double clear over the two rounds to claim victory ahead of Olivia Price and Lafayette MVNZ (0/4, 46.13).

In the Flemings Nurseries Junior Championship, Lamb partnered with Stirling Lady (0/0, 39.35) to finish ahead of Olivia Curtain and Tulara Colchic by the narrowest of margins (0/0, 40.59). Ella Santry and Marine Park Kandoo placed third (0/0, 42.51) in a class where there were nine double clears and therefore time was the deciding factor.

The Leader Equine Children’s Championship saw a win to Chloe Bell and Chio MS, who were the quickest of the four double clear rounds with a blistering time of 28.38 seconds in the second. Madison Felgate and Lachlan Hunter (0/0, 30.46) were the runners-up, while third went to Amelia Terrill and Redcliffs Guns And Roses (0/0, 31.45), and fourth went to Zarah Mealmaker and Da Nuisance (0/0, 31.79).

Brook Dobbin and CF Glenara Big Time won the Future Stars (0/0, 49.65) to finish ahead of Tori Stuckey and Tulara Balian (0/0, 52.09).

In the Mini Prix, Sam Williams and Bellatrix VP were the quickest of three clear jump-off rounds to claim the win (0/0, 45.46). Ally Lamb and Diamond B Franklin placed second (0/0, 48.01), while Mark Nicholls was third riding Batman Xtreme (0/0, 48.23).

In the Leader Equine Amateur Championship, four combinations made the jump-off and three jumped clear. Teegan Papworth and Confidential TAE were the quickest (0/0, 36.36) and finished ahead of Erina Miyama and Waitangi Imagine (0/0, 42.72), with Julie Sproull and Hollingrove Big Spender third (0/0, 44.63).
