Gillian Rolton has been award a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) today. According to her husband Greg Rolton ” Fortunately she knew she’d been nominated. It came just before she went into hospital.”
Gill was the first Australian woman to win gold in an Olympic equestrian event at Barcelona in 1992. She then went on to win another gold medal four years later in Atlanta.
