Jamie Kermond & Tulara Stolensky claim EQUITANA Jumping Grand Prix

Jamie Kermond and Tulara Stolensky produced one of two clear and under-time performances across two rounds of competition to win the EQUITANA Jumping Grand Prix.

Friday at EQUITANA Melbourne saw the show jumpers in action on the Kubota Outdoor Competition Arena.

The Grand Prix (FEI Article 273.3.3.1, 4.3) was held over two rounds, with three combinations jumping clear and under time in the first: Jamie Kermond and Tulara Stolensky, Gemma Creighton and Dada Des Brimbelles Z, and Josh Collin with Cornel. The top ten came back for Round 2, where there were seven clears – however only two combinations held a score of 0 by the end of the competition.

Jamie Kermond and Tulara Stolensky were the quickest in a time of 48.52 seconds and claimed the win just ahead of Gemma Creighton and Dada Des Brimbelles Z (52.43).

Third went to Mattea Davidson and Checkamour D (2/54.06) who were clear throughout with only time penalties to their name. Jamie Winning Kermond also had just time faults to finish fourth riding Tulara Wat Colblensky (3/58.17), and Josh Collins rounded out the top five with Cornel (4/49.43).

Mini Prix (FEI Article 273.3.3.1, 4.3)

Earlier in the day, Tim Clarke and Kanntango won the Mini Prix as the quickest of three double clears in a time of 45.3 seconds. Second went to steven Hill and Velvet Cate (47.02) and third went to Paul Brent riding Fontaine Blue VDL (47.92).

Joel Lamb took fourth place with Diangella (4/43.05), and Ally Lamb was fifth on Fantasia DP (4/46.56).
