The Tamworth World Cup Qualifier is a significant event in the Australian show jumping calendar, delivering the sixth leg of the Australian League.

New Zealand’s Julie Davey and her mare, Lt Holst Freda, were the only combination to jump two clear rounds, securing the win. The course, designed by FEI level 3 course designer David Sheppard, proved action-packed until the very end, with Sam Overton and Oaks Cassanova placing second, and Billy Raymont and Caprino in third.

Show Director Martin Gostelow shared “last night was one of the most memorable nights of World Cup Qualifier showjumping in several years, made even more memorable by the fabulous horse and rider Julie Davey & Lt Holst Freda. The only combination to jump two clears around David Sheppard’s interesting track, where for the first time we saw 3 doubles, including a triple bar to a vertical double.”

“What a memorable atmosphere we had, with high-voltage music and many happy fans, who left commentating wow what a class and what a horse.” In Gostelow’s words, “Showjumping is the real winner this weekend.”
