The most anticipated event on the Australian cutting horse calendar, the 2025 NCHA Australia 4CYTE Futurity, burst into action on Sunday (25 May) at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) in Tamworth. Running until 8 June, the Futurity will showcase the best in cutting horse talent, horsemanship, and the vibrant community behind the sport.

With over $950,000 in prize money on offer, including the prestigious Futurity Champion title, the event draws top riders, breeders, and spectators from across the country and overseas. The NCHA Futurity highlights the skill and agility of three-year-old horses as they compete in their first major cutting event—a true test of training, instinct, and partnership.

“The NCHA Futurity is more than a competition—it’s a celebration of our sport, our breeders, and our community,” said NCHA Australia General Manager Wayne Brown. “We’re proud to host an event that not only showcases elite talent but also brings together families, fans, and future stars of the industry.”

The action-packed two-week program includes:

  • Open and Non-Pro Futurity classes
  • Derby and Classic Challenge (5,6,7 year old horse) events
  • Youth Competitors
  • Trade shows, stallion showcases, and social events

With AELEC’s world-class facilities and family-friendly atmosphere, the NCHA Futurity promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
