The jumping is wrapping up in Paris – what will I watch now?

As the jumping action draws to a close at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and we are left in awe of the performances we’ve witnessed, the question arises… what are we going to watch now?

As the jumping action draws to a close at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and we are left in awe of the performances we’ve witnessed, the question arises… what are we going to watch now?

With our appetite for world-class jumping broadcasts now stronger than ever, we look to our friends at ClipMyHorse.TV who fortunately have a smorgasbord of events scheduled for the month ahead – phew!

Here are five events to add to your TV guide:

1. Sentower Park CSI4*

Sentower Park in Belgium is hosting a CSI4* competition (8-11 August), where 21-year-old Australian Georgia Price in lining up aboard Cera Cadbury Z (Christian x Clearway). This horse was named Champion of Champions at the 2021 edition of Dressage & Jumping with the Stars in Australia with Billy Raymont in the saddle, and Georgia has been competing him on the international stage for the past two years.

2. Waratah World Cup Qualifier

Coming up here in Australia, our homegrown talent will be aiming for the Waratah World Cup Qualifier at Sydney International Equestrian Centre (15-18 August), with a warm-up weekend of competition scheduled at the venue for competitors (9-10 August). Last year, this World Cup was won by Amber Fuller and Nopal Van Tallaert; this year, they were in Versailles as the travelling reserves for our Aussie Olympic jumping team! The fifth leg of the Australian World Cup season, it’s sure to be hotly contested.

3. The British Young Horse Championships

You’ve seen the British claim the team jumping gold medal at the Paris Olympics, now see which young horses are next in their very healthy equine pipeline. Held at world-famous Hickstead, the British Young Horse Championships are set to showcase the best young jumpers across the age categories and act as a qualifier for the World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken, Belgium later this year.

4. Tamworth World Cup Qualifier

The sixth leg of the Australian World Cup season moves to the Australian Equine & Livestock Events Centre in Tamworth later in the month (23-25 August). Who will gain valuable points towards being crowned series champion and securing the opportunity to contest the FEI World Cup Final 2025 in Basel, Switzerland?

5. FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses

For 29 years the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses (18-22 September) has been a highlight on the calendar of many jumping enthusiasts! The 29th edition of the World Championship for 5-, 6- and 7-year-old show jumpers will be held in Lanaken, Belgium; don’t miss this opportunity to cast your eye over the sport’s up and coming stars. Could a Brisbane 2032 medal-winning horse be hiding among this field?
