Aussie feature in latest FEI Dressage World Rankings release  

The latest FEI Dressage World Rankings reflect a dynamic end to the year, shaped by standout performances at major European indoor fixtures and a strong showing from Australian combinations across all age divisions.

From personal best freestyle scores at the TOP 12 Dressage Final run at Internationales Festhallen Reitturnier Frankfurt CDI5*to impressive upward movement by emerging Australian talent, the updated rankings highlight both established superstars and the next generation making their mark on the international stage.

FEI CDI3* and above Athlete rankings 

Justin Verboomen still holds #1 spot with 1958 points following his recent wins in the CDI5* in Frankfurt, where they posted their first 91%+ score in the Freestyle of 91.195%. 

Becky Moody jumps to #2 with 1778 points. She and Jagerbomb produced a festive and harmonious freestyle at The London International Horse Show for 86.410%.  

Isabell Werth drops to #3 with 1724 points after placing third at the CDI5* in Frankfurt with Wendy de Fontaine. She also had great success with the young stallion Viva Gold OLD, who won the Louisdor Cup at Frankfurt with 76.681% in the Short Grand Prix and 75.620% in the classic Grand Prix test with a mistake in the one-tempi changes.  

At #4 is Charlotte Fry with 1711 points; the British rider had a clean sweep with Glamourdale at The London International Horse Show.  

At #5 is Carl Hester with 1636 points, #6 is Frederic Wandres with 1615 points, #7 is Katharina Hemmer with 1576 points, #8 is Isabel Freese with 1521 points, #9 is Patrik Kittel with 1521 points, and #10 is Maria Von Essen with #1498 points. 

Jayden Brown is the highest ranked Australian rider in the FEI rankings at #29, up from #42 with 1299 points. Mary Hanna is just outside the top 100 at #113 with 1048 points.

FEI Under 25 Grand Prix rankings 

Australia still has a large number of riders in the Under 25 Grand Prix rankings, highlighting the talent we have coming up.  

Jessica Dertell and Kilimanjaro are the highest ranked combination at #29 with 1349 points. A great feat in their first season at Under 25 Grand Prix.  

At #66 is Danielle McMahon and Remi Lauries Joy with 1003 points. 

At #79 is Hannah Rockwell and Baumann’s Diorella with 881 points. This combination has stepped out in CDI-W classes this year, winning the CDI-W Grand Prix Freestyle at the CPH Dressage Extravaganza at Boneo Park.  

At #83 is Tyla Schou and Dennis Deniro with 841 points who are based in the UK with Laura Tomlinson, at #84 is Maddison Vallender and Ronan R with 829 points. 

Madelon McDonald and F1 Soliloquy are ranked #88 with 798 points, while at #97 is Dana Krause and Taittinger VDS with 692 points, and at #99 is Amy Bachmann and SWS Debutante with 661 points.

FEI Young Rider rankings

The highest Australian rank in the FEI Youth Rankings is also held by Jessica Dertell and Kilimanjaro at #18 with 1595 points.  

At #24 is Kate Kyros and Intro K with 1548 points. Kate has been selected for the CHIO Campus Programme of Excellence for 2025/26, becoming the first non-European dressage rider chosen for the exclusive Isabell Weth-led program. 

At #35 is Tia Rose McKenzie and Franzisco RW with 1448 points.   

FEI Junior rankings

The highest ranked combination is Tia Rose McKenzie and Phenomenon at #23 with 1529 points, #57 is Shiva Wiedmann and Hollands Bend Regalite with 1398 points, #58 is Zali Mills and Royal Diamond Jubilee with 1396 points, and #95 is Rosemary Heagney and Sancho RW with 1225 points.

FEI Pony rankings

Abby Weel and Reitland’s Obama are the highest-ranked Australian combination at #27 with 1599 points. Abby and her family have relocated to Wellington for the season to train and compete with her three horses.  

At #74 is Tess Baker and Hilkens No Kidding with 1281 points, while Isabella Anderson and Boronia Applause at #94 with 980 points.  

FEI Childrens rankings

Milla Greenaway and SPB Robert Redford are the highest ranked Childrens combination at #49 with 1492 points.  

At #63 is Abbey Restall and Urodel du Texier with 1312 points, #74 is Olivia Roberts and Chapel House Gwilym with 1161 points, #81 is Layla Kropp and Bangalow Gold with 1094 points and at #93 is Isla Oxley and Enbarr with 976 points.
