The Australian Driving team consisting of Boyd Exell and horses Celviro, Checkmate, Hero, Mister Bono van ‘T Hooge and Tor Van Den Berge with horses Carbery Estate Chino, Indiana, Jeebert, Kerosine have placed first after the dressage phase in the Boehringer Ingelheim Nations Cup at CHIO Aachen on a score of 80.97 minus points. Whilst most nations have three members, Australia only has two which means there’s no scratch result. The German team of Georg von Stein, Anna Sandmann (who is coached by the winner, Boyd Exell) and Michael Brauchle are currently sitting in second place on 87.37 minus points. Third place is held by the Belgian team and members Dries Degrieck, Glenn Geerts, Tom Stokmans on 96.29 minus points.

Exell leads individually
Boyd Exell delivered a masterclass in dressage, showcasing flawless rein backs, extended paces, and precise collections. All executed in perfect harmony, to earn an exceptional score of 31.73 minus points placing him in first position. Following closely behind was American Chester Weber with 32.73 minus points and Germany’s Anna Mareike Meier took third place with 40.45 minus points.

Tor Van Den Berg produced an impressive dressage test scoring 49.24 minus points, which secured him eighth place out of twenty-five competitors. His performance helped propel Australia into the lead in the Boehringer Ingelheim Nations Cup.
