The highly anticipated class was won by Jayden Brown and Quincy B, who produced an impressive test to score 72.044%.

“Quincy really rose to the occasion today,” Jayden said. “But what made it even more special was that this was his first time back competing at Willinga Park since Paris [Olympics]. Terry Snow’s vision was always to see a Willinga Park horse compete at the Olympics, and to have achieved that — then come back here and win today with Ginette Snow watching — was incredibly meaningful.”

Emma Flavelle-Watts and Scarlatti Mio VSR — competing an a snaffle as allowed in the new FEI rules — secured second place on 70.022%. First into the arena, the pair set an early benchmark and led the class into the first break. Scarlatti continues to look increasingly secure in the Grand Prix arena, beginning to fully showcase his potential at the level.

In the Mulawa Performance Horses CDI2* Intermediate A, Megan Keir and Revelwood Queens Country claimed the win with 66.882%. While a handful of green mistakes impacted the score, the combination showed plenty of promise for the future. Susan Elekessy and Callum Park Damascus followed closely in second on 66.736%, also demonstrating clear aptitude for Grand Prix work. Maddison Foster and Revelwood Desmond finished third with 65.353%.

The Equestrian NSW CDI1* Prix St Georges proved to be one of the tightest competitions of the day, with the top three combinations all finishing on 69%. Robbie McKinnon and QS Sierra emerged victorious with 69.441%, narrowly ahead of Jayden Brown and Leopold on 69.265%. Lisa Martin and Vilaggio were just fractions behind in third on 69.206%, making it a class well worth watching as the competition progresses.

Another closely fought contest unfolded in the McKinnon’s Sport Horses CDN Intermediate I, where the top three all scored above 71%. Matthew Lord and Carool Charmer took the win with 71.863%, earning multiple 8.0s for their extended trot and both lines of tempi changes. Jayden Brown and Grets placed second on 71.716%, receiving a 74.118% from international judge Orsolya Hillier, while Rebecca Rooke and BB Niccolo finished third on 71.471%.

Jessica Dertell and Osaka continued their dominant form from day one, claiming the Construction Control Medium Championship with a win in the 4.2 on 73.649%. Once again, the pair impressed the judges, receiving 9.0s — this time for their extended canter.

“I’m so excited for what the future holds! Osaka is going from strength to strength,” Jess shared.

The CDI youth divisions also commenced on day two, delivering strong scores across the board. Jessica Dertell and Kilimanjaro won the CDI-U25 Intermediate II with 68.765%. In the Rockwell Information Services CDI Young Rider Team Test, Rosie Heagney and MSJ Nemo topped the class with 68.676%, including a high score of 73.235% from Jane Ventura at C.

The 4Cyte CDI Junior Team Test was claimed by Marley Ara Yates and Secret Rose with 70.050%, with the top seven combinations all scoring above 66%. The Future Farms CDI Pony Team Test was won by Milla Greenway and SPB Robert Redford with a score of 66.534%.
