Justin Verboomen and Zonik Plus rise to World #1

Following Justin Verboomen and Zonik Plus's success at the 2025 FEI Dressage European Championship in Crozet, the talented duo has now secured the #1 spot in the FEI Dressage World Rankings for Athletes and Horses.

Justin and Zonik Plus continue making history for Belgium

After winning the first-ever major championship medals for Belgium at the FEI Dressage European Championships, Justin and Zonik Plus have continued making history.

Justin is now the first Belgian rider to be ranked #1 in the FEI Dressage World Ranking – Athletes with 1925 points, while Zonik Plus has secured the #1 ranking in the FEI Dressage World Ranking – Horses, overtaking Glamourdale.

The previous world #1 athlete, Lottie Fry, is now ranked #2 with 1894 points. Lottie and Glamourdale  had uncharacteristic mistakes across all tests at the 2025 FEI Dressage European World Championship.

Ranked at #3 is Isabell Werth, who is down from #2 with 1867 points.

Becky Moody remains at #4 with 1819 points.

Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour has shot up from #95 to #5 with 1784 points following her team bronze and two individual silvers at the 2025 FEI Dressage European Championship with Mount St John Freestyle

#6 remains as Frederic Wandres with 1640 points, while Carl Hester has dropped from #5 to #7 with 1636 points.

Katharina Hemmer remains unchanged at #8 with 1576.

Isabel Freese has dropped from #7 to #9 with the same number of points as Katharina, 1576.

Patrik Kittel remains rounding out the top #10 with 1522 points.
