Prior to Strzegom Summer Tour, Kevin said he was “excited to be back at one of the best events on the calendar” – and it certainly turned out to be just that for the Australian rider.

With a dressage score of 30.6 and only jumping and cross country time faults added, Kevin finished runner-up aboard eight-year-old stallion Wilfred Lancer (by Otangelo out of Evian de Hus by HH Conrad) in the CCI4*S on a score of 41.

“So exciting to have younger horses stepping up to this top level and having them enjoy it enough to perform this well!” said Kevin via McNab Eventing following the event.

The class was won by Germany’s Christoph Wahler and D’Accord FRH on 34.8.

In the CCI3*S, Kevin led from start to finish with seven-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare Newmarket Amy; the pair finished on their dressage score of 29.1.

“Leading from start to finish this week, this mare is an absolute firecracker! Her last event here she won the CCI2*S and now a couple of months later she is well established at this next level. Really exciting to be aiming for the seven-year-old Young Horse Champs at the end of the year with her!” said Kevin.

The 2025 FEI WBFSH Eventing World Breeding Championship for Young Horses will take place in Le Lion d’Angers, France, from 16-19 October.

Nine-year-old gelding Lone Ranger (by Grandorado TN N.O.P. out of Pindia) placed second for Kevin in this class to cap off a terrific event, adding just 0.8 of a time fault on cross country to finish on 33.1.
