Tamworth International Eventing’s most recent event (20-21 September) boasted strong and competitive fields in all classes.
Shenae Lowings and Bold Venture claim CCI4*S
The ProTen CCI4*S was dominated by Paris Olympic duo, Shenae Lowings and off the track Thoroughbred Bold Venture, who led from start to finish. Their impressive dressage score of 25.20 gave them a two-point margin, which they carried through with a clear showjumping round and a bold cross country effort. No rider finished without time penalties on cross country, and so Shenae and Bentley’s 15.6 time faults proved enough to secure the win.
In second place was Shenae’s partner, Sam Woods, riding SS Eight Count. After sitting twelfth on a dressage score of 33.20, the pair delivered faultless jumping phases and recorded the fastest cross-country round with just 8.4 time penalties.
Third place went to Oliver Barrett and Sandhills Briar, who stayed consistent throughout. They were third after dressage (28.0) and held their placings with 13.2 time penalties in cross country and 1.2-time penalties in the showjumping.
In the ProTen CCN4*S, Shane Rose and Holy Moses claimed the win on 34.60, and Hazel Shannon and Willinga Park Chelsea were second with 66.80 points.
Earlier this month, Shane announced that his elite horses – Easy Turn, The Bandit and Matrixx – had been sold and were heading to new homes, leaving Holy Moses as his top horse.

Hannah Deegan and HK Hawthorn win CCI3*S
The Britt Grovenor Photography CCI3*S was won by Hannah Deegan and HK Hawthorn, who impressed across all three phases. They finished on 33.20, adding just 4.0 cross country time faults to their dressage score of 29.20.
Second went to Oliver Barrett and Feldale Short Black, who added only 9.2 cross country penalties to their dressage score of 31.30, holding their placing with a clear showjumping round.
Charlie Richardson and Remington Hill rounded out the podium in third. They added 4.4 cross country time penalties and two showjumping rails to finish on 44.90.
The Britt Grovenor Photography CCN3*S was won by Judith Clarke and Oaks Quasimodo (42.20), ahead of Emma Bishop and Bobby Dazzler (44.70).

Quinella for Shane Rose in the CCN2*
Shane Rose and Limitless Lodge Zsa Zsa won the Ash Morton Creative CCN2*S. The combination finished on their dressage score of 29.70 to lead the field across all three phases. In second was Shane’s other ride, Diva Royale; the pair were eleventh after dressage but only 1.2 time penalties on cross country and a clear showjumping round saw them shoot back up to second. In third was Charlotte Lalak and Fairbanks Casino, with the combination only adding 6.4 time penalties to their dressage score of 27.80, which had originally placed them in fourth.
