Hosted by the North West Zone of Pony Club Tasmania, the Championship made use of two stunning venues: dressage and showjumping were held at the Inglis Pony Club Grounds in Wynyard, while the cross country phase took place at the beautiful Hazelbury Farm in Elliott, generously hosted by the Furzer family.
A highlight of the weekend was the debut of a newly designed cross country course at Hazelbury Farm. Challenging, flowing, and beautifully presented, the course received praise from riders and spectators alike. Friday evening’s official course walk—led by Technical Delegates Donna Griffiths and Jodi Gardam, along with Course Designers Jamie Buckby and Harry Furzer—gave competitors their first look at what lay ahead.
After dressage on Saturday, more than 140 riders, officials, and supporters gathered for the Official Welcome Dinner, a chance to celebrate the riders who had qualified for the prestigious State Trials.

Following Sunday’s cross country phase, the TDs and CDs hosted a cross country debrief session for riders and coaches, offering valuable analysis and insights into performance, decision-making, and course strategy.
Monday began with the official horse inspection, where all combinations were assessed for soundness ahead of the showjumping.
Pony Club Tasmania extends sincere thanks to the North West Zone for their many hours of preparation, and to the team of officials, volunteers, and supporters whose contributions made the event possible.
