Purchased in Denmark in 2006 by Lady Susannah Clarke, Tomse went on to enjoy an outstanding Grand Prix career in Australia under the saddle of Charlotte Pedersen. Together, the combination shared many memorable years at the highest level of the sport, defined by success, partnership and an unmistakable presence in the arena.

“He was the best horse I have ever ridden,” Charlotte shared on social media. “Every time he entered the arena, you felt his presence—like he was saying, ‘Look at me, I am the best,’ and he truly was.”
Following his competition career, Tomse enjoyed a well-earned retirement for the past four years at the Newbury property of Karen Thornton and Darrel, where he was cared for with great dedication and kindness. He will be remembered not only for his accomplishments in the dressage arena, but for his confidence, spirit and the lasting mark he left on those closest to him.
