The equestrian community is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Australian Equestrian Terry Cowan. A stalwart in the Australian show circuit, Terry defined an era in the sport.

Terry’s journey from a Government Clerk to a Mounted Police Force member mirrored his dedication to the equestrian world. A seasoned rider from the NSW Central West, he dominated major agricultural and royal shows in both hacking and driving for over four decades. Together with Vince Corvi, Terry shaped the landscape of Showing, winning numerous accolades and creating a strong legacy.

Following Vince’s sudden passing in 2016, Terry continued to contribute to the equestrian community, training riders of all levels and remaining an active participant in shows.

A service was held on Thursday January 25th, 2024 at the Great Northern Gardens of Remembrance.
