The Horseland Grand Prix CDI-W took place today at the 2018 Australia Dressage Championships at Boneo Park, with 10 combinations in action. Matthew Dowsley won class with the impressive AEA Prestige. The pair scored 72.456% — gaining two scores over 74% from the judges at E and B.

Second place went to Shannan Goodwin and Aristede on 70.217%, while third went to Sue Hearn and her 2016 Rio Olympic horse Remmington on 69.718%.

Next came Alycia Targa and CP Dresden (66.326%), Sheridyn Ashwood and Fererro Chocolate Box (66.152%), Robert Harrisson Schmerglatt and Brumali (65.565%), Rozzie Ryan and Adonie (65.522%), Sue Hearn and Jude (65.087%), Gitte Donvig and Sancette (64.304%), and Louise Curran on Cil Dara Gandalf (63.065%).

The Grand Prix CDN class saw 12 combinations in action; Susan Elekessy and Don Rubin won the class with a score of 65.087%, while Jenny Bray and CJP Diamond Dazzler were the runners up on 62.717%.

In the Dressage NSW Intermediate I (22 entries), it was Maree Tomkinson and Donna Elena who shone, scoring an impressive 71.147% to win. Robert Harrisson Schmerglatt and Fiderfurst were second, scoring 68.765% — just ahead of Riley Alexander and MI Sirtainly Sir on 68.559%.

The Advanced horses were also in action today, and it was Matthew Dowsley who continued his run of success — winning the 5.2 and 5.3 with Santiago, scoring 71.143% and 73.728% respectively. The Pony Advanced 5.3 was won by Susan Elekessy and Divine Miss M on 66.140%; the 5.2 scores are yet to be posted at time of writing.

Junior and Young Rider tests were also contested today. The Junior Team Test CDI-J was won by Kaitlyn McGill and Flowervale Sancierra on 66.414%; the Young Rider Team Test CDI-Y went to Micky Bray and Flowervale Florenz on 68.578%; and the CDI-U25 Intermediate II was won by Katharine Farrell and Luxor 118 on 69.559%.

The Intermediate B, Pony Intermediate B, and Pony Intermediate I classes are yet to be decided at time of writing.
