The team medals have been announced for the reining discipline at the FEI World Equestrian Games, with team USA winning the gold with a total of 681 points. Belgium received silver, with a total score of 671.5 points, while Germany received bronze, with 666.5 points.

The Australian team, which consisted of Robyn Schiller, Martin Larcombe, Warwick Schiller, Shauna Larcombe and Dan James came in eighth, with a total score of 656.5 points.

The first individual round saw USA’s Cade McCutcheon at the top of the leaderboard on 229 points, riding the 7-year-old Quarter Horse, Custom Made Gun.

Aussie Shauna Larcombe and the 7-year-old palomino Designed With Shine are currently in 12th position, with 221.5 points. Robyn Schiller and Smart Like Steady are currently in 29th position, on 218 points, Warwick Schiller and Plenty Of Guns are currently in 35th position with 217 points. Martin Larcombe and Colonels Smart Spook are currently in 36th position with 216.5 points, alongside four other competitors. Daniel James is currently in 59th position on Don Magnum, with a total score of 203.5.

The second individual qualifying competition will commence today, on the 13th of September at 2:00 pm local time, and run till 4:30 pm. (AEST 14th of September 4:00 am - 6:30 am)
