Mary Hanna and Syriana claim Boneo CDI3*

Today at the Homes and Acreage Boneo Summer Dressage Championships saw the Grand Prix horses in action across both a CDN and CDI class - the latter being the first of its kind in Australia for quite some time thanks to Covid!

In the Grand Prix CDI3*, the results were incredibly close, with Mary Hanna and Syriana winning on a count-back with a score of 71.022%. Also on 71.022% and in second place was Jayden Brown riding Rose Deo and Jenny Gehrke’s Senator Nymphenburg. Third place went to John Thompson and Chemistry on 69.957%, fourth to Pauline Carnovale and Captain Cooks on 69.348%, fifth to Lindsey Ware and Aristede on 69.196%, sixth to Kerry Mack and Mayfield Limelight on 66.717%, and seventh to Rebecca Woff and Jazzari on 63.761%.

All scores over 66% earn combinations an MER for this year’s World Championships in Herning, subject to the Judges Supervisory Panel approval via live stream.

The Grand Prix CDN was won by yesterday’s Inter II winners, Pauline Carnovale and Corinna. The pair scored an impressive 70.870% to edge out a much-improved Royalito ridden by Dirk Dijkstra to a score of 67.609%. Pauline and Corinna claimed the overall CDN Grand Prix Championship.

The Inter A went to Jodie Dunstan and Hollands Bend Highlander on 67.794%, while in the Small Tour, Jayden Brown and WillingaPark Quincy B won the Prix St Georges on 73.088%.

In the Young Horse classes, Jayden Brown and WillingaPark Fangio won round 1 of the 7YO class with a score of 77.889%, with Karen Blythe and Sonic K finishing second on 70.395%.

Round 1 of the 6yo Young Horse went to Bluefields DeNoir and Fiona Smith on 75.1%, while the 6yo Young Pony went to Caitlyn Porter and Paradise Valley Cocktail on 79.6%.

In round 1 of the 5yo Young Horse, it was John Thompson claiming the win with Baron MI on 82.8%. The 5yo Young Pony went to Bettina Kopetzky and San Sebastien on 75.4%.

Round 1 of the 4yo Young Horse also went to John Thompson, this time with Johnny B Goode MI, on 83.6%. The 4yo Young Pony went to Isabella Robertson-Dixon and Avella Morningstar on 78%.

In the Para Equestrian CPEDN classes, the Grade I Team Test went to Stella Barton and Falcon Disco Hit on 65%; the Grade II went to Maddison Cooke and Baylee Magic II on 69.091%; and the Grade V went to Dianne Barnes on Cil Dara Cosmic on 69.244%.

In the Elementary, the 3B and 3C went to Justine Greer riding Otway Bojangles to scores of 69.438% and 71.890% respectively; Justine of course therefore claimed the Elementary Championship.

In the Pony Elementary, Caitlyn Porter and Bookra Mint Edition won the 3B on 63.5%, while the 3C went to Simply Magisch and Melanie Clark on 64.025%. Caitlyn and Bookra Mint Edition claimed the overall Elementary Championship for Ponies.

The CDI-J Team Test went to Jessica Dertell and Gladston M H on 73.131%, with Jessica also claiming the win in the CDI-U25 Inter II aboard Eskara De Jeu, with the pair scoring 68.039%. In the CDI-Y Team Test, it was Amy Bachmann and SWS Debutante who continued on with their success from the Australian Youth Dressage Championships, winning with a score of 68.186%.

The Team Test for Ponies was won by Allengreen Medallist and Ava Braniff on a score of 61.786%.
