Rowan Willis and Blue Movie win Welcome Classic at Las Vegas National

Australian showjumper Rowan Willis and Blue Movie have won the $25,000 FEI 1.45m Welcome Classic at the Las Vegas National in Nevada.

The pair were clear and recorded a time of 24.52 seconds in the two-phase class to finish just ahead of Karl Cook and Kalinka van’t Zorgvliet of the USA on 24.67 seconds. Rowan also finished in fifth place with Ekita Eindeken Z, who jumped clear with a time of 25.78 seconds.

Competition continues at the Las Vegas National, with Rowan still to compete in the $40,000 FEI 1.50m Welcome Jumper Speed Classic today (Thursday night local time). The FEI classes culminate with the $150,000 FEI Jumping World Cup of Las Vegas on Saturday at 8pm local time.
