Super mare Winx will contest the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes over 2000m on Saturday, making her debut appearance at Flemington Racecourse while aiming for her 21st straight win.

So who does she have to beat? Well, the truth is… not many. Apparently scared off but her blistering form, just 11 horses were nominated for the race — and a mere seven are set to start, with Winx being one of them. That’s right, she has just six rivals.

Her main threat is thought to be the Darren Weir-trained Humidor, while other runners include Sir Isaac Newton, Assign, the Irish import Ventura Storm, Magicool and Skyfire.

As you might have guessed, Winx is currently the short priced favourite to win.
