2018 Greenvale Classic sees top drivers in action

The popular driving event took place in Victoria from 26 April to 1 May…

The Greenvale Classic took place from the 26th of April to the 1st of May at Greenvale Equestrian Park in Victoria. The event began with a dressage judge’s workshop on the Thursday, followed by a range of classes from Friday to Sunday — including FEI 1*, FEI 2*, Australian Carriage Drivers Society (ACDS) and EA Participation classes. An FEI, EA and ACDS course designer’s clinic, held over Monday and Tuesday, concluded the event.

Winners of the FEI classes were:

CAI2*

Winners in the CAI2* (international) classes were:

Horse Single – Lorraine Cairns
Pony Pairs – Phil Marshall

Lorraine led from start to finish, scoring 48.32 in the dressage, 91.61 in the Marathon and a further 3 penalties in the Cones phase for a total of 142.93. Lyn Callaghan finished runner up on 157.86 penalties.

Phil scored 59.78 in the dressage, 96.30 in the Marathon and 3 in the cones to finish on a total of 159.08 penalties.

CAI1*

Winners in the CAI1* (international) classes were:

Horse Single – Jackie Boyd
Pony Single – Anne Lindh
Horse Pairs – Byron McIntyre
Pony Pairs – Kim Damsma
