The 2018 Global Dressage Festival, based in Wellington, Florida, is in full swing and already there have been some terrific performances to date!
Some highlights from the third week include:
Laura Graves and Verdades
The pair won the FEI World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle, posting the highest ever AGDF score in the process – 84.675%! They also scored 79.63% in the Grand Prix CDI-W to win earlier in the competition.
Adrienne Lyle and Salvino
Adrienne Lyle picked up another winner’s blanket for Salvino when winning the FEI Grand Prix Special CDI3*. This was added to their win at in the Grand Prix at two days earlier at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
Heather Blitz and Praestemarkens Quatero
In the Small Tour, local combination Heather Blitz and Praestemarkens Quatero made it three victories from three starts Imported to the US in 2015, the horse has been training with Heather in Florida and it’s clear they have built a very strong rapport.
With no events scheduled for week four, all attention now turns to week five (8-11 Feb) where key classes include Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle CDI5*, Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special CDI3*, and Small Tour classes.
