Australian driver Tor Van Den Berge has continued his run of great performances in Europe after finishing sixth in a pairs event at Beekbergen CAI 2* in the Netherlands.
A former dressage rider, Tor has been very strong in the dressage phase of the driving since making the move to Europe to compete. At Beekbergen, he and his team finished second after the dressage on a very competitive score of 41.92. He finished 10th in the driving phase, however still retained second place overall, before finishing 28th in the cones for a final overall place of sixth – a fantastic effort!
Tor has only competed at a handful of international events in Europe so far, but is already producing some very impressive results for someone so new to the sport. We look forward to following Tor’s success at future events this year.
Keep a look out for the July/August edition of Equestrian Life – Roger Fitzhardinge has written a fabulous feature on this talented horseman, and it’s a must-read!
