The United States Department of Transportation have announced that miniature horses are still allowed to fly as service animals in all cabins of commercial planes.

The Department of Transportation released its final statement on the matter last week. The final statement was released to provide clarification on the matter.

“The Enforcement Office intends to use available resources to ensure that dogs, cats and miniature horses are accepted for transport.” The statement continued on to explain that Airline policies that do not comply with this policy will be violating the current disability regulation.

The Department of Transportation did rule out a few animals, as they are deemed likely to make other passengers uncomfortable. Some of these include support ferrets, rodents, spiders and snakes. Airlines may freely decline carrying these support animals on board.
