A blanket of snow greeted competitors at the Kentucky Horse Park yesterday morning as they prepared for the First Horse Inspection in the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event.
In the afternoon, the CCI5*-L competitors, including Australians Kevin McNab, Dominic Schramm, Ema Klugman, and Clayton Fredericks, presented their horses to the ground jury for the first horse inspection.
By this time, the sun had emerged and the snow had vanished, making for a beautiful setting on the jog strip.
A total of 63 horses presented and all of them passed the inspection without any being sent to the holding box.

Discerning eyes were also assessing the riders for the Dubarry Awards for the best dressed riders during the inspection.
American Meghan O’Donoghue was named the best dressed female and, fellow countryman, Will Faudree earned best dressed male. Each of them will receive a brand-new pair of Dubarry boots.
