Andrew Hoy finishes fourth in Montelibretti Eventing’s CCI4*-L

By Equestrian Life

Australian eventer Andrew Hoy and Creevagh Colley have finished fourth in the CCI4*-L at Montelibretti Eventing in Italy this weekend.

It was the first time Andrew had ridden the 14-year-old Irish Sport Horse, owned by David and Paula Evans, in a CCI4*-L together.

It was an incredibly close competition, with less than one penalty separating 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

Spain’s Carlos Dias Fernandez edged out Ireland’s Padraig McCarthy by .30 per cent to win second place, to finish on 46.40 penalties. Andrew Hoy and Creevagh Colley finished on 47.00 penalties.

However, it was Switzerland’s Beat Sax and Secret IV that smashed the rest of the competition to finish in first place on just 32.00 penalties.
