Australian eventers in action at Strzegom

Several Australian eventers were out competing at Strzegom Spring Open in Poland over the weekend as the European eventing season gets underway.
Kevin McNab finished in the top ten of the CCI4*S with Miss Pepperpot, with the pair leading after the dressage on 28.8, and then adding just one jumping rail and 9.2 cross country time faults to finish on 42. Kevin also finished 20th with his Olympic and World Championship partner Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam, taking it easy out on course to add just cross country time faults to their dressage score.
Chris Burton was 16th in the CCI4*S with Clever Louis on 48, while Isabel English was 17th with Cil Dara Dallas on 48.5.
The new combination of Chris Burton and Shadow Man notched up their second Olympic MER in the CCI4*S. The pair were second after the dressage on 29.5 and then jumped clear in the show jumping to lead the field heading into the cross country. Taking it easy around the cross country, they finished with 19.6 time faults, but were free of jump faults (49.1, 18th). The result was enough to ensure the combination received another MER, and they now just need a CCI4*L or CCI5*L qualifying result.

With wet conditions and being early in the season, no one was under time on cross country in the CCI4*S.
In the CCI3*S, Andrew Hoy returned to the arena with his Tokyo Olympic partner Vassily de Lassos for third place on 35.5, while Grace Kay and Bluefield For Cello finished 12th with 42.1.
Andrew also contested the CCI2*S with Cadet de Beliard, finishing fourth on their dressage score of 28.8.
