Boneo Park has today announced the appointment of Australian Olympian Amanda Ross as its new Agistment Manager, marking an exciting new chapter for the facility.

“With the future of Victoria’s premiere equestrian venue now secured, I am really looking forward to being part of the team at Boneo Park as it enters this new phase.” said Amanda.

Her appointment solidifies Boneo Park’s reputation as a world-class equestrian destination, ushering in an exciting new chapter for the facility. A well-known figure in the Australian equestrian scene, Amanda is celebrated not only for her expertise as a rider and coach but also for her contributions as a mentor and ambassador within the community.

A Decorated Career

Amanda’s impressive career spans a number of disciplines, including representing Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, where she placed 20th in the individual eventing event with Otto Schumaker. She has been reserve for three World Equestrian Games and was shortlisted for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with Koko Popping Candy, where more recently, Amanda has turned her focus to showjumping and regularly competes in World Cup events.

In addition to her competitive achievements, Amanda has taken on key leadership roles, including working with Equestrian Australia’s High Performance program and serving as a VRC Ambassador, focusing on the welfare of Thoroughbreds after racing.

A new chapter for Boneo Park

Amanda’s appointment comes one month after the Mcnaught family announced the sale of Boneo Park to investment group Duncraig Capital, marking a new chapter for the premier Australian equestrian facility. The sale will see an expansion of operations at Boneo Park, utilsing its top-tier facilities to provide excellent care and amenities for both horses and riders, with the transition of ownership a collaborative effort, with Duncraig Capital working closely with the McNaught family over the next 18 months before officially taking the reins in 2026.
