Boyd Exell off to a winning start at CHIO Aachen

Boyd Exell has enjoyed an excellent start to his CHIO Aachen campaign, finishing atop the leaderboard in the Prize of Martello Immobilienmanagement GmbH & Co. KG dressage competition for four-in-hand drivers.

Boyd and his team — Carlos, Checkmate, Celviro and Ivor — achieved a score of 33.33, giving them a good lead over second-placed Mareike Harm of Germany on 38.85.

Fellow Australian Tor van den Berge also competed in the class, finishing with a score of 62.30 for 21st place.

Together, Boyd and Tor, are representing Australia in the team competition and are currently ranked third on 95.63; the Netherlands leads on 83.97.

The competition continues today with the Prize of Fa. Horsch, Der Entsorger “Top Score” obstacle driving. The class commences at 10am local time, 6pm AEST, and the start list can be found here.
