We are thrilled to have more international eventing action to follow! Le Grand Complet at Haras du Pin in France is now underway with the first day of dressage complete — and there are a number of Australian riders in action!
Originally planned for April before being postponed due to coronavirus, the CCIO4*S is an FEI Nations Cup event. The Australian team is comprised of Chris Burton and Jefferson 18, Isabel English and Feldale Mouse, and Kevin McNab with Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam.
Kevin is also riding Scuderia 1918 A Best Friend as an individual.
With the first day of dressage done and dusted, Chris Burton is in fifth place on 27.5 with Jefferson 18. The horse, owned by Guy Bloodstock Ltd, Katie Page-Harvey and Martin and Philippa Clunes, produced a great test in his very first four-star start.
NZ’s Tim Price and Wesko currently lead the class on 23.3.
Kevin McNab and Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam are in 20th place on 31.9, while Isabel English and Feldale Mouse are in 42nd on 35.2.
With the team riders having all ridden their tests, the Australians sit in sixth place overall. The home side, France, sits atop the leaderboard.
Today will see more dressage action, including Kevin McNab and Scuderia 1918 A Best Friend’s individual test, before the cross country on Saturday. We look forward to following the results over the weekend — go Aussies!
