Australia’s Ryan Wood and Woodstock Bennett had a great competition; the pair were 36th after the dressage, but rose to 10th after an action-packed cross country day where the pair only acquired 5.2 penalties. One rail down in the showjumping cost them fifth place, but it was still an amazing result for the US-based combination!
It was a tough cross country course that delivered mixed fortunes for riders; 11 combinations retired or were eliminated, and only four went clear and under time. Only 14 jumped clear and finished with less than 10 time penalties.
