Hat-trick for Kate Kyros & Intro K in Florida
By Equestrian Life
Nineteen-year-old Australian dressage rider Kate Kyros has enjoyed a hat-trick of wins in the CDI-Y Young Rider classes at the final event of this year’s Global Dressage Festival (GDF) in Wellington, Florida.
Kate and 10-year-old KWPN stallion Intro K (by Apache out of Zastrade, by Harmony’s Rousseau) achieved a PB score of 70.834% to win the CDI-Y Team Test, and then won the Individual Test on 71.863%. In the Freestyle on the final day of GDF, the pair scored a huge 75.410% to make it a clean sweep of the Young Rider classes.
Kate’s wins during Week 12 of the GDF cap off a successful few months in Florida, having enjoyed earlier success in CDI-Y and Small Tour classes with Intro K alongside CDI-U25 wins and placings with Chemistry.
