A woman from Young, NSW, is appealing to the public for help after her horse was taken from her property on Monday.

The horse, Ruger, is a dark bay 14.2hh Quarter Horse with a scar on his off-side front leg, and also a V-shaped scar on the cannon area of his off-side hind leg. Another distinguishing feature is a small blue blind spot on his left eye.

The horse was taken from Kim Fisk’s property along the Henry Lawson Way towards Grenfell in the Young area. There are posts on Facebook that are being shared and Ms Fisk has also offered a $1000 reward for the safe return of any information that can lead to Ruger’s safe return.

The property where Ruger was taken from had secure fencing and gates. Ruger is also microchipped.

Young Police were notified of the missing animal on Monday afternoon and Ruger may be in the Canberra area. Ms Fisk has asked anyone with information to please contact herself on 0459030664 or Young Police on 63828199.
