A miniature horse has been rescued by the SES after he became stuck while crawling under a house in New South Wales.

Jasper, the 6yo miniature stallion, and his sheep and goat companions had been relocated from a flood-affected property to a house yard in South Windsor.

The miniature attempted to follow the sheep and goats when they crawled underneath the house but became trapped yesterday.

NSW SES Hawkesbury Rescue Operators were called to the property along with a vet from the Hawkesbury Equine Veterinary Centre.

According to the NSW SES Hawkesbury Unit Facebook page, Jasper was given a general anaesthetic before he was rigged with a sling that allowed the rescue crew and Police on the outside to pull him onto a large plastic sheet.

“Jasper was then carefully hauled out from under the house and moved onto the clear grassy area to come out of the sedation,” the post read.

“After about twenty minutes a very groggy miniature stallion was up and standing and wondering what all the fuss was about.”
