One eyed wonder Cornado NRW retires
By Equestrian Life
Champion show jumper Cornado NRW, who partnered with Marcus Ehning for over 10 years at the sport’s highest level, has been retired.
The 18 year old grey stallion was remarkable for many reasons, not least the fact that he navigated 1.60m courses with just one eye!
“Cornado is one of my favourite horses, he is an incredibly talented horse and everyday has a big motivation. A few years ago he lost one eye, which makes it more difficult for him but he is like a person and never gives up,” says Marcus Ehning.
“He has amazing talent and I am very proud to have a horse like this in my life because it is not many horses who have this quality in their jump, rideablity, scope and everything in one package.”
Equestrian Life wishes Cornado a very happy and well-deserved retirement at Ehning’s family stables in Borken!
