The NVSJC Victorian State Titles in conjunction with Jumping Victoria begin today in Shepparton, with many of the state’s top showjumping combinations in action.

Northern Victorian Show Jumping Club are hosting this year’s event.

Friday will see round one of the Junior Rider State Title, Young Rider State Title, and Senior Rider State Title take place among other classes, with riders keen to put a good score on the board for the first day of the Championships.

At time of writing, round one of the Junior Rider State Title has been completed, with Sienna Holdsworth-Rose and Coolart Farm Short Torque claiming victory after jumping clear in the fastest time.

The Senior Championship Title race will see 15 combinations battle it out, including Olympian Russell Johnstone, Brook Dobbin, Andrew and Ally Lamb, and up and coming stars such as Sally Simmonds and Hayden Parker among others. Last year’s Senior Title went to James Paterson-Robinson and Equador MVNZ, however the pair are not entered for this year’s Championship.

Saturday will see the next generation of Grand Prix horses compete in the Mini Prix, while round one of the Children’s State Title will also take place. On Sunday, final rounds of the Championship classes will see State Titles awarded, while off the track Thoroughbreds will also have their chance to shine in a dedicated OTT class.
