WA eventers enjoy first FEI event of the season

Western Australian eventers enjoyed their first FEI event of the year earlier this month, with the W.A.Y.E.R & Toyota Midland International Horse Trials taking place from 1-2 April 2023.

Held at the State Equestrian Centre in Brigadoon, classes ranged from EvA65 through to CCI4*-S. Ewan Kellett constructed the FEI cross country course, while Alan Campbell built the national-level courses. Kevin Tully was the FEI show jumping course designer.

Winners of the three FEI classes were:

CCI4*-S: Kenya Wilson riding Sandros Salute MW, 36.7 penalties

CCI3*-S: Ellie Gough riding Don J’Amee, 34.7 Penalties

CCI2*-S: Jaime Baker riding Bling It To Me (OTT), 33.0 penalties
