US-based Aussie eventer Ryan Wood has announced the retirement of Woodstock Bennett from elite level eventing following an incredible career that included a top ten finish at Pau five-star in 2018.

Bennett was imported to the United States in 2012 and came to Ryan as a four-year-old who had been started by a show jumper in Ireland.
“Bennett has won at every level along the way,” said Ryan via social media.
“He has taken us around the world competing at some of the most incredible events. He has given us so many wonderful memories and he is going to live out his years like a king at Bennett’s Creek Farm with Curran and Margy Simpson.
“So grateful for this horse and everyone involved with him over the past 12 years. Thank you, Bennett.”
Happy retirement, Bennett!
