Aussie team through the trot up at Millstreet
All of the Australian horses have passed the Horse Inspection and are ready to compete in the CCIO3*-L Olympic Qualifier at Millstreet International Horse Trials in Ireland.
The Australian draw is as follows:
Friday 2 June
Andrew Hoy & Vassily de Lassos: 1.03pm GMT (10.03pm AEST)
Shane Rose & Dotti: 1.42pm GMT (10.42pm AEST)
Shenae Lowings & Bold Venture: 2.27pm GMT (11.37pm AEST)
Kevin McNab & Scuderia 1918 A Best Friend: 3.00pm GMT (12.00am AEST)
The CCIO3*-L Competition will act as an Olympic Qualifier for FEI Group F & G Nations (Africa, Middle East, South East Asia and Oceania). As New Zealand have already qualified through their result at the FEI World Championships last year, Australia will need to finish in the top two of the Non-Qualified FEI Group Nations to gain an Eventing Team spot for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Other Australian combinations competing at Millstreet include Kevin McNab with Willunga and Miss Pepperpot, and Isabel English with Cil Dara Dallas, all in the CCIO4*L and due to ride their dressage tests in the second half of the draw on Friday.
Isabel also has three horses in the CCI2*S Young Horse class; after the dressage on Thursday, she’s fourth with Elysian Fields Prado, seventh with Cil Dara Bombay S, and twelfth with Wilfred Lancer.
San Lyle and BF Valour, who were the reserve combination for the CCIO3*L team, will contest the CCI3*S and will ride their dressage test in the second half of the draw of Friday.
