Aussies climb to fourth in Nations Cup at Le Grand Complet

The Australians have climbed to fourth place in the CCIO4*S Nations Cup event at Le Grand Complet, held at Haras du Pin in France.

The team, comprised of Kevin McNab with Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam, Chris Burton and Jefferson 18, and Isabel English and Feldale Mouse, were in sixth place after the dressage phase.

Overnight in the showjumping, Chris Burton rose to third place individually after a clear showjumping round with just 0.4 time penalties. He and Jefferson 18 now sit on 27.9 behind the joint leaders, Thibaut Vallette and Qing Du Briot Ifce, and Thomas Carlile and Birmane, both riding for France on 26.6.

Kevin McNab with Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam had one rail down for 35.9 and 43rd place, while Isabel English and Feldale Mouse had two rails for 43.0 and 67th place in a big field of over 90 combinations.

Kevin McNab is also placed 13th with his individual entry, Scuderia 1918 A Best Friend. The pair are on 31.0 after a clear round and just 0.4 time penalties.

Team France remain leaders in the Nations Cup heading into the cross country.
