Young eventing stars of the future are currently in action at Mondial du Lion (Le Lion d’Angers) in France, with four Australian riders competing their up and coming talent.
In the six-year-old-class, Bill Levett completed his dressage test yesterday riding Shannondale Archie, with the grey Irish Sport Horse gelding (by Shannondale Sarco St Ghyvan x Curraghtown Flight by Luz Z) scoring 30.4 to sit sixth provisionally after the first day of competition. The class is currently led by Germany’s Anna Lena Schaaf and Lagona 4 on 25.8.
The second half of the six-year-old draw will ride their dressage tests today, with Aussies Isabel English and Cil Dara Dallas (Diarado x Koyuna Blue Pearl by Koyuna Quarterback) and Lissa Green riding Expo Di Alma Terra (by Baedeker x Preziosa Di Villagana by Calido) in action.
In the seven-year-old class, Kevin McNab is set to ride Cute Girl (by Coventry x Caligula by Clearway) in the dressage phase today. The class is currently led by Great Britain’s Laura Collett and Outback on 27.2.
The dressage concludes today, with the cross country Saturday and the showjumping on Sunday.
