Aussies in action on day two of Le Grand Complet

The second day of action is done and dusted at Le Grand Complet in France!

The CCIO4*S dressage wrapped up overnight, with Kevin McNab and Scuderia 1918 A Best Friend completing their dressage test. The pair scored 30.6 for 25th place out of 93 competitors.

The CCIO4*S is also an FEI Nations Cup event. Kevin McNab and Scuderia 1918 A Best Friend competed individually, however Kevin is also part of the Australian team with  Scuderia 1918 Don Quidam, alongside Chris Burton and Jefferson 18, and Isabel English and Feldale Mouse. The team riders all rode on day one of the dressage, with the Australian team sitting in sixth place heading into the showjumping.

Following the conclusion of the dressage phase, the highest placed Aussie combination is Chris Burton and Jefferson 18 in eighth place on 27.5; a great effort in the horse’s first four-star.

Michael Jung and FischerChipmunk FRH lead the field on 19.7, while the French team lead the Nations Cup standings.

Isabel English and Chris Burton are also competing in a number of other classes, with the following results thus far:

CCI2*-S, Isabel English and Glenorchy jumped clear in the showjumping with 1.6 time penalties seeing them currently in 18th position.

CCI2*-L, Isabel English and Etna completed their dressage test with a score of 34.2 seeing them currently in 42nd position.

CCI3*-L, Isabel English and Dowdston Play Boy completed their dressage test for a score of 34.2 which sees them in 30th position.

CCI3*-L, Chris Burton and Leopard’s Action also completed their dressage test for a score of 28.1 which sees them in 3rd place after the dressage phase.
