The 2018 Badminton Horse Trials are just around the corner, taking place from the 2-6 May.

Nearly 90 competitors are set to start in the event, with five Aussies on the list.

47. Bill Levett and Alexander NJ
56. Paul Tapner and Bonza King of Rouges
59. Lissa Green and Hollyfield
66. Warren Lamperd and Silvia
79. Sam Griffiths and Paulank Brockagh

A notable absence for Australia is Chris Burton; Chris is competing this weekend at the Kentucky Three-Day Event with Nobilis 18, and is only Australian on the start list. Ex-Aussies Phillip Dutton and Boyd Martin are also set to compete.

Few riders competed at both Kentucky and Badminton, however there are a couple who are — including superstars Michael Jung and Oliver Townend. With the events just a week apart, they will different horses are the two 4* events.
