Billy Raymont and Caprino win Boneo Park Grand Prix

Boneo Park’s February Jumping Championships took place over the weekend, giving many riders the opportunity to continue their momentum in the competition arena ahead of upcoming feature events in Victoria such as the Shepparton World Cup and Jumping with the Stars at Werribee.

The feature event of the weekend was the Grand Prix (1.50-1.55), and this class went to Queenslander Billy Raymont and Caprino, who were the only double clear.

Second on four faults was Sam Overton and Oaks Cassanova; the pair were quickest in the second round but had an unfortunate rate in the first round. Third place – and also with four faults from round one – was Ally Lamb riding Eagle Rock. Next was Anneliese Wansey and Texas (4), Phillip Lever and Wild Kard (4), Josh Collins and Cornel (4), Phillip Lever and Billionaire NZPH (8), and Frida Lindgren rounding out the placings with Van Damme (8).

Frida also enjoyed a win in the Future Stars, jumping a double clear in the fastest time aboard Wondaree Colleen. The Mini Prix was won by Clem Smith and Quantico 12, who produced the fast double clear of that class.

The Junior Championship went to Jack Barker and Tulara For Quinar, while the Young Rider Championship went to Lorna Reilly and Bellhaven Jazz.
