Charlotte Dujardin has enjoyed further success at Keysoe CDI3* in the UK.
The British Olympian placed first and second in the Grand Prix CDI3* with Mount St John Freestyle and international GP debutant Gio (Apache x Tango), before going on to win the Special with Mount St John Freestyle and the Freestyle with Gio.
Charlotte won the Grand Prix test with Mount St John Freestyle on a personal best score of 83.196%, and the pair backed it up in the Special with another win and another personal best score. They received 84.149%.
Charlotte also scored an impressive 79.348% with Gio for second place in the Grand Prix (video below), with the pair then winning the Freestyle on 83.360%. It has been reported that their Freestyle score is higher than Charlotte’s Freestyle debut with Valegro more than a decade ago.
Of course, Charlotte still holds the Grand Prix Freestyle record with Valegro on a whopping score of 94.3%, so there is still a little way to go for the chestnut, who goes by the nicknamed “Pumpkin”. Gio, a nine year old KWPN gelding, is co-owned by Charlotte and Renai Hart of New Zealand.
Keysoe was the first CDI event in the UK since Coronavirus caused the shutdown of competitions.
