Riding Mount St. John Freestyle, Charlotte won Friday’s CDI3* Keysoe Grand Prix on 83.196%, her best result since scoring 85.071% in the Grand Prix with Valegro at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. With nine-year-old Gio she scored 79.348% for second place, an impressive result for the gelding on his international debut.

Keysoe CDI3* is Great Britain’s first international dressage event since March due to Covid-19, and is running without spectators. Gareth Hughes and Classic Briolonca placed third in the Grand Prix class with 77.674%, ahead of Carl Hester and En Vogue in fourth place on 76.500%.

Charlotte’s test with Freestyle scored nine marks of 10, of which seven were scored in the piaffe/passage movements.
