Charlotte Dujardin made a strong return to the Grand Prix arena with her new mare Mount St John Freestyle, with the pair scoring a huge 81% at Hartpury (Hartpury College British Dressage event).
The nine-year-old mare is owned by Emma Blundell of Mount St John stud, and is Charlotte’s hope for this year’s WEG in Tryon, North Carolina. Charlotte also rode Car0l Hester’s WEG hope, Hawtins Delicato (owned by Ann Cory and Anna Evans), at the same event and scored 76.8% for the horse’s Grand Prix debut.
They were Charlotte’s first rides at Grand Prix level since the 2016 British Dressage National Championships where she rode Barolo. This was shortly after she rode Valegro at the Rio Olympics.
Mount St John Freestyle is set to make her first international Grand Prix debut at Roosendaal CDI4* in May – and we can’t wait to see her perform again!
