Charlotte Dujardin wins Heckfield CDI3* Grand Prix with Gio

Charlotte Dujardin has won the Wellington Riding CDI3* Grand Prix in Heckfield, England, riding Gio to a score of 79.130%. In claiming the win, she and Gio beat her World Equestrian Games mare, Mount St John Freestyle, who finished second on 77.935%.

Carl Hester finished third with En Vogue on another great score of 77.5%. It was an all-star British field, with Gareth Hughes and Sintano van Hof Olympia in fourth on 73.783%, Emile Faurie and Dono DI Maggio OLD in fifth on 72.391%, and Fiona Bigwood riding Hawtins Delicato (formerly ridden by Carl Hester) in sixth on 71.848%.
Sonnar Murray Brown rode Erlentanz TSF to ninth place on 70.870%; this horse was for some time ridden by Charlotte Dujardin with great success while Brown was unable to ride. The top 11 combinations in the field all scored over 70%.
Competition continues today, with Charlotte riding Gio in the CDI3* GP Special and Mount St John Freestyle in the CDI3* GP Freestyle.
