Charlotte Phillips wins CDI-W Pacific League Final crown at Dressage by the Sea

Young rider Charlotte Phillips has claimed the CDI-W Pacific League Final crown at Willinga Park’s Dressage by the Sea this afternoon with Jane Bruce’s CP Dresden, winning the Grand Prix Freestyle with a PB score of 74.275%. Charlotte will now have the opportunity to compete in the FEI World Cup Final in Omaha, Nebraska this coming April. Congratulations Charlotte! Kerry Mack and her homebred Mayfield Limelight finished runner-up with a score of 68.14%.
The CDI3* Grand Prix Special went to yesterday’s CDI3* Grand Prix winner, Robert Harrison-Schmerglatt and Quando Queen, with the pair scoring 68.851% for a PB. Sue Hearn and Galaxy were second on 65.808%, and Jessica Dertell was third with Syriana on 65.681%.
The Grand Prix Freestyle CDN went to Catherine Chittenden and Neversfelde Springbok on 71.25%, ahead of Emily James with Platypus Run Firenze on 69.217% and Rosanna Relton with Redwood Desire on 67.75%.
The CDI-U25 Grand Prix went to yesterday’s Inter II winner, Jessica Dertell and Zanzibar. The pair scored 68.205% to finish ahead of Claire Plenty and Queensland (65.727%) and Mary Nitschke with Utopian Cardinal (65.427%).
Heath Ryan claimed a win in the Inter B with his four-star eventer Bronze Boy R, scoring 67.23%. Holly Lewis was second on 66.892% riding Heatherton Park Romeo, while Megan Bryant was third with Bloomers Simply The Best on 65.068%.
The Inter I Freestyle was won by Robbie McKinnon riding Hollands Bend Rococo on 75.425%. Hillary McGregor-Potter was second riding Karabil Park Sir Jazz on 75.35%, and Rozzie Ryan was third with MSJ Nemo on 74.15%; the top seven were all over 70%!
The CDI-Y Individual Test went to Kate Kyros and Intro K on a PB of 72.402%, with Jessica Dertell and Gladstone M H second on 70%, and Klara Denny third with Bella Gallico on a PB of 67.549%.
Angelina Thompson continued her success in the Junior classes, winning the CDI-J Individual Test with Enbarr on a PB score of 68.235%. Brooke Ellis was second on a PB of 66.519% riding Mountain Creek Valia, while Maggie Davis achieved yet another PB with Sir Anton for third place on 63.726%.
Zali Mills and Bloomfield Royal Winston claimed the CDN Children’s Preliminary A test with a score of 70.25%.
The Advanced 5.2 went to Elliot Patterson and Fidibus on 72.039%. Sally Rizzuto was second on 70.328% with Quarterland, while Alexis Hellyer was third on 69.407% with Fritzio. Combined with yesterday’s results, Elliot and Fidibus were crowned the overall Advanced Champions, with Susan Elekessy and Callum Park Damascus named the runners-up.
The Elementary 3.1 saw Nina Boyd and Furstine claim the win on 72.642%, with Harvey Besley in second with 71.928% riding Sirsation, and Anne Nelson (AOR) third with Rosevale Ballroom Blitz on 71.642%.
Lauren Wheeler was victorious in the Novice 2.1 with Furst Pik, scoring a huge 78.173%. Robbie McKinnon was second on another impressive score of 75.769% with Felicity, while Tanisha Ryan was third with Sevenoaks Fenrys on 73.75%.
In the young horse classes, the 7YO Young Horse went to last year’s DJWTS Champion of Champions, SPH Fortino, ridden by Robbie McKinnon. The pair scored 78.603%.
The 6YO Young Horse went to Furstenglanz, ridden by Caitlin Scott with a score of 83.8%, while the 6YO Young Pony went to Haluma Park Siorus ridden by Jordan Evans on 69%.
Senzation for Harvey Besley won the 5YO Young Horse on 88.4%, while the 5YO Young Pony went to SPB Movie Magic, ridden by Ashlee Aquilina on 79.6%.
The 4YO Young Horse was won by Freemans Lodge Daiya, ridden by Justin Worthy to record a score of 71.8%.
